buddycat2:
This is poem 40 from Kyo’s second book of poetry, Zenryaku. Along with the previous poem, Organ in the Shade, this poem contains lyrics from the Dir en grey song Garbage from the album Withering to Death. The song’s lyrics make the masturbation angle a little more pronounced than do this poem’s lines.
喰路
排水溝に流れて行く僕の欠片
無能な欠片の大盤振舞い
僕の両手はあまりにも小さすぎる
何も掴めなしない
アドレナリンアドレナリン自虐覚醒 アドレナリン
笑笑真っ赤な唇笑う
無能な欠片の大盤振舞い
僕の両手はあまりにも泥まみれ汗まみれ涙まみれ血まみれなんです
何も掴めてやしないんだよ
嫌い…
大嫌い…
死んでほしい…

English: I retranslated this because some of the lines in the original English were downright baffling. The kanji “喰” for eat is very unrefined (read: vulgar), and also carries a lot of different meanings besides “eat.” Because I’m not sure what Kyo was going for with the title, I left the English title as previously translated. “Way,” in this case, means “route” or “road.”
Eating way
Flowing down the drain, pieces of myself
A banquet of useless pieces
My hands are too small
I can’t grab anything
Adrenaline adrenaline self-torture awakening adrenaline
Smile smile dark red lips smile
A banquet of useless pieces
My hands are too mud-covered, sweat-covered, tear-covered, blood-covered
I can’t grab anything at all
I hate it…
I really hate it…
I want to die…
